Heartwood for Rural Vermont
TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR- Bring cash or check.
Event Date: Sunday July 16th, 2017
Doors Open: 4:00pm
Show Start: 6:00pm
A string sextet will play live Vivaldi for this performance.
Join us before the ballet for a variety of activities for the whole family! From 4 to 6PM enjoy live music, great food from Heartwood's own wood-fired food truck, and local beer or a glass of wine from Blackbird Bar. Sample cheese from neighboring Bonnieview Farm and Sweet Rowen Farmstead, or grab a fresh-squeezed maple lemonade at a stand run by neighborhood kids. For visiting kids, we've partnered with Green Mountain Farm to School and The Art House for fun, agriculture-based workshops and art projects between 4 and 6PM. Last, from 4:30 to 5:30PM, join Heartwood for a tour of our greenhouses, root cellar, heritage pigs, and sugarhouse where we'll offer you a taste of syrup made the old-fashioned way. Proceeds from the event go to Rural Vermont.
Seating: Audience members should bring picnic blankets or lawn chairs.
Rain Plan: In the event of inclement weather, the show will be cancelled. We will do everything we can to perform outdoors if possible. In the event of cancellation, ticket holders may continue to donate their ticket to the cause, get a refund or exchange for another show.
Food: Sunday's menu will feature ingredients from Heartwood Farm and farms within 10 miles of us. From our wood-fired food truck, we will be serving tacos and quesidillas for the kids. See menu below. Grab a pint from the Kingdom's favorite bartender: Leeanne Kinsey, owner of Blackbird Bar Catering or a maple lemonade made with Heartwood's pure maple syrup.
